Her Campus Bentley: What year will you graduate from Bentley?

Sarah Hasenauer: 2014

HCB: What are you majoring in?

SH: Managerial Economics and LSM: Ethics & Social Responsibility

HCB: What are your interests?

SH: Working out, spending time at home on my farm, watching sporting events (Go Falcons!), trying new things, being outside, and most importantly….Wegmans.

HCB: What activities are you involved with at Bentley?.

SH: Women’s Basketball, Phi Sigma Sigma, Bentley Ambassadors

HCB: What Bentley experience stands out as the most significant to you?

SH: I think being a part of the basketball team has been the most unbelievable experience. I played all throughout high school and wasn’t ready to commit to playing in college, but being a manager has been the best of both worlds. They are the most amazing group of individuals, both players and coaches. I’m so grateful that I have been able to share in their success.

HCB: Where do you currently work?

SH: I intern in the Human Resources department at Liberty Mutual where I worked this summer. I also manage the Bentley Women’s Basketball team.

HCB: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

SH: After graduation, I will be working full time at Liberty Mutual in their Human Resources Development Program. They really focus on promoting employees within the company, which is why I hope to continue my career there after the program and eventually reach a supervisor/manager level position.

HCB: What advice do you have for Bentley underclassmen?

SH: Don’t wait to get involved. I can’t believe that this is my last year at Bentley. I wouldn’t have had the same, incredible experience if I didn’t get involved my freshman year. When you do get involved, step outside your comfort zone. Make sure you associate yourself with multiple groups of people. It’s very easy to get comfortable with the same group of friends, but don’t be afraid to expand your network. You learn to interact with all different types of individuals, which will really pay off when you enter the workforce. Most of all have fun, every day. Make sure you have a work life balance because you can’t get these four years back. You want to be able to look back say you made the most of them.
