On Thursday, October 24, Moufy and Kendrick Lamar tore down the Whittemore Center in front of a full crowd of screaming Wildcat fans. The lines were packed at 7:00pm to get into the concert, which started at 8:00pm, but it was worth the wait; fans were far from disappointed. Moufy opened the show and rallied the fans right up. With performing hits like “Throw My 3’s” and “Boston Lights” the crowd showed Moufy that we have a reciprocal love for Boston. Moufy finished with a well-deserved standing ovation and it was time for the main performer, Kendrick Lamar. After making fans wait a little bit, only adding to their excitement, Kendrick Lamar killed his opening act with “Money Trees”. There was not one person sitting down his whole performance! One of the most memorable moments of the night was how Kendrick opened up his hit song. Kendrick told the crowd it doesn’t matter who you are, whether you’re black, white, yellow, purple, you are here to vibe and enjoy the music. And just like that the crowd went crazy listening to Kendrick perform his hit song “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”. With songs like “Poetic Justice,” “F*cking Problem”, and “Good Kid M.A.D.D City”, Kendrick gave UNH a night to remember. On behalf of the whole Wildcat community, I thank you Moufy and Kendrick for keeping our vibes well and alive on this “Thirsty Thursday”.
