Ladies, if you’re looking for an adorable guy who has a small-town humbleness and a great sense of humor, look no further than this weeks campus cutie, Curtis Washburn. Curtis is a Netflix-loving senior who loves baseball and pizza and says his parents are his biggest role models (aww!). Unfortunately for us, this is his last year at the Ilstu, but keep reading to find out where you can spot this country boy on campus!

Name: Curtis Washburn

Age/Graduation year: 22

Major: Agriculture Business

Hometown: Kansas, Illinois

HerCampus ISU: To start off with a few festive Halloween questions, what are you planning on being for Halloween?

Curtis Washburn: I love Mad Men so I’m gonna be Don Draper

HC: Very classy. What about your favorite Halloween candy?

CW: Snickers or Jolly Ranchers

HC: What is your involvement on campus?

CW: I’m in the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi and NAMA, an agriculture marketing club.

HC: Who is your role model?

CW: My Parents. They are really honest and hard working people. I look up to them a lot, probably more than they know. They are the most genuine people I know.

HC: Aww! Too cute. What’s your favorite food?

CW: Pizza.

HC: Where would we find you on a Saturday night?

CW: Downtown. Probably at Six Strings or Fat Jacks, wherever my friends want to go.

HC: Favorite quote?

CW: “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure”

HC: What are your plans for after graduation?

CW: I accepted job with CNH, Case New Holland. They manufacture farm equipment. So I’ll be moving to Pennsylvania.

HC: So you grew up in a small town, would you consider yourself a country boy?

CW: I don’t  really consider myself one but most people do. Compared to people at ISU I am a country guy, but compared to people at home, I’m not.

HC: Now, your town has less than 800 people in it. Did you like growing up in a small town?

CW: Yeah, I always wondered what it would be like to grow up in a small town, but I liked it.

HC: What’s your dream job?

CW: I think the job I’m going to be doing is going to lead towards my dream job. But if I could do anything I wanted, I love documentaries on wildlife, so I think it would be fun to do that. I went to Africa this summer, and I went on a safari and it was really cool. I watch all those shows wildlife documentary shows.

HC: That’s awesome! What did you go to Africa for?

CW: I went through ISU, we did market research in Kenya.

HC: That’s so cool. What would you say is your guilty pleasure?

CW: I love to watch Netflix. How I Met You Mother and Mad Men are my favorite.

HC: Favorite movie?

CW: Step Brothers.

HC: Go-to party song?

CW: Dub Step, no specific song.

HC: Tell us a fun fact about yourself.

CW: There were only 14 kids in my graduating class.

HC: Alright, now onto the love questions. What is your relationship status?

CW: I’m single

HC: What’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done for a girl?

CW: I took a girl to her favorite concert. She was really excited.

HC: What’s your ideal date?

CW: Going to a baseball game, preferably a Cubs game.

HC: What do you look for in a girl?

CW: Someone who’s fun, outgoing, well educated. I like a girl who can handle being outdoors and is also goofy.

HC: What are some things girls do that turn you off?

CW: Girls who are constantly on their phone, especially on a first date. Girls who complain a lot or ones who talk about their exes. Also, girls that play too hard to get, I don’t get it.

HC: Alright, our infamous last question – your favorite things about ISU girls?

CW: There are definitely a lot of attractive girls here.
