Sad news entertainment junkies: one of Hollywood’s best-looking couples is splitting up. If a Victoria’s Secret model and the actor known for playing an elf can’t make a go of it, then who can? In other news, everyone’s favorite (did you catch the sarcasm in that?) boy band has officially broken up. Bummer. There’s even more news about the Fifty Shades of Grey movie project (seriously, is it more trouble than it’s worth?). Time to read on!
1. Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr split up. But why? Seriously though. The two are still very friendly and have been seen out together since announcing their breakup. The two got together in 2007, were married in 2010, and have a 2-year-old son together. I’ll admit that I was kind of sad when I heard about this. I really liked Bloom and Kerr together and not just because they look good. Their boy, Flynn, is adorable, too!
2. The Jonas Brothers broke up. The boys told People they has officially split up as a band and have canceled its fall tour. A representative for the band told the magazine that the band split up because of a “deep rift” over differences about the musical direction the group was taking. How sad.
3. Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell got married! They are such a cute and funny couple. They’ve been engaged since 2010 but delayed getting married until California legalized same-sex marriage. Shepard went on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about it. Apparently, he and Bell went down to the courthouse to get married and friends brought the two a cake with words ‘World’s Worst Wedding.’ Shepard said the wedding only cost $142. There’s a lesson to be learned here.
4. Chris Brown was arrested and is going to rehab. Maybe now he’ll get his life together. Maybe. Brown was arrested after he assaulted a man in Washington, D.C. Brown is still on probation for his 2009 assault of Rihanna. According to Today, a rep for the star announced that Brown has decided to go to rehab for his anger issues but that it is not an “acknowledgement of wrongdoing.”
5. Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde are having a baby! According to People the two are expecting their first child. The couple has been engaged since January but have not yet set a date. If anything, this baby will be a stunner with a great sense of humor.
6. The start date for Fifty Shades Grey has been delayed. Surprise. Filming was supposed to start in early November and has been pushed back to Dec. 2. Jamie Dornan, of Once Upon a Time fame, has been cast as the new Christian Grey. At this point, I am little dubious that this project is even going to make it off the ground. I have my suspicions about its potential for success, but we’ll see.
7. Channing Tatum is developing a reality show for A&E. The show is centered on the Bourbon Street bar Saints & Sinners, which is modeled after the red-light district of New Orleans. At this point it is not expected that Tatum will actually be in the show. Even if Tatum wasn’t attached to this show, I would still be intrigued.
8. Ciara is engaged to rapper Future. And her ring is a gorgeous 15-carat behemoth. The two have been dating since January, and Future proposed during Ciara’s birthday celebration. The ring is basically diamonds on diamonds. It’s a miracle she can even lift her hand.
9. Katy Perry says other pop stars are “getting naked.” Isn’t the pot calling the naked kettle black? In an interview with NPR, Perry said every other pop stars are just stripping down. She went on to say, “I mean, I’ve been naked before, but I don’t feel like I have to always get naked to be noticed.” Really Katy? Really?
10. Guy Fieri is caught on tape in a fight with his hairdresser. The chef of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives was caught on tape by TMZ being yelled at by his hairdresser who was shouting expletives and trying to hit him. Fieri was in the front seat of his car with his hairdresser standing outside. Fieri’s manager got out of the car and escorted the angry man away. No one knows why the man was so angry, but the running joke is that the two fought over creative differences… in styling Fieri’s famous ‘do.
Alright, so at this point we’re just going to assume that every time this post comes around that there will be some news about Fifty Shades.
