YouTube’s Unforgettable Proposals!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Illinois State chapter.

Your wedding day is often claimed to be “the happiest day of your life”. These festivities frequently include family, friends, food, laughter and love, all celebrating the couple’s new found happiness. Some brides-to-be have been planning their special celebration since they were little girls as if it were a fairytale – an imaginative day that is nothing short of perfection. I, myself, am guilty of that. I have always expected my sequence of the marital process to be magical, from the proposal all the way until my happily ever after.

Within the past few years YouTube has raised the bar for wedding proposals all over the world. Proposing to your special someone is no longer as simple as buying a ring, getting on one knee and asking, “Will you marry me?” The videos below are some YouTube’s greatest examples of creative, romantic, thoughtful and fun proposals. Grab your tissues, you’re going to need them!

Spencer and Dustin – http://youtu.be/l4HpWQmEXrM

Victoria and Jason – http://youtu.be/ri3EBDvbYXA
Although this video may not be only of the proposal, it will melt your heart as you watch the love story of Victoria and Jason Evigan throughout their wedding.

As you can see, these proposals took a lot more planning than a dinner reservation and classic “He went to Jared.” Proposals are the first step in your journey towards marriage and these couples started strong! It is incredible how complex the event of proposing has become, but it is undeniable by the looks on the face’s of the soon-to-be fiancé’s that they had never felt so special or loved.

With my Pinterest page covered with wedding boards and all of these proposals now bookmarked on my computer, my knight in shining armor is in for a treat. Start planning now boys, because after reading this article your future wifey will have high expectations!
