What to Wear to a Job Interview

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Bloom U chapter.

Is it really November already? Some of you will be graduating in December which is basically a month away. That is just insane! Others will graduate in May which will be here in the blink of an eye. The first step to getting your first post-grad job is having the ever-dreaded interview. HC Bloomsburg is here to help alleviate the stress and uncertainty about dressing the part!

Most people think that dressing professionally means a boring suit combo. But there is way to dress appropriately while still incorporating your own individual creative taste.

Sure, this is professional …but boring, right?

You may be seeing great job interview outfit ideas on Pinterest but sometimes seeing pictures leaves you feeling hopeless about where to actually find the clothes. So, where are some good places to shop to get the fashionable yet professional look you are going for?

J Crew or J Crew Factory

HC Tip: If you visit the J Crew store, you can show them your BU ID and get a discount! And, if you are an education major you should let them know that as well and you will get an additional percentage off!

The Loft

Nordstrom

As far as bags go – you seriously cannot go wrong with a Longchamp. I recommend ordering one off of Nordstrom’s website because they always offer free shipping and free returns. The Le Pliage Large is probably your best choice considering you will need to fit your folder or notepad inside.

Where are your favorite places to shop for professional attire? Let us know.
Best of luck in the job market from the girls at HC Bloomsburg!
