Let’s be honest—who actually has time for primping now-a-days? With all that students take on, it’s no wonder that our luscious locks are becoming rather lackluster. But just because we choose homework over hair doesn’t mean we need to give up it completely! Here are a few ways to get out of your dull hair dumps and instead, brighten your hair and perhaps your day.
- Messy Pony
Here’s an easy option for a busy day that works especially well with wavy-curly hair. Shower the evening before and let your hair air-dry. Lightly tease the ends of your hair and at the roots. Taking a hair tie, pull hair up to the top of your head, creating a high pony.
- Twist Bun
Take a quick shower and while hair is still wet, slick it back into a high ponytail. Divide pony into two sections and individually twist the sections. Intertwine and secure pieces into a bun. Keep hair like this all day and through the next night.
- Beachy Waves
Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to resemble Blake Lively? With your hair wavy from the previous day, let it down and run your fingers through the waves creating the perfect “beachy” look! If your hair looks greasy, consider putting a cute headband in and get to class!
- Tuck and Cover
Perfect for any hairstyle, the tuck and cover is an easy way to pull hair out of your face and get on with your busy day. Take a simple headband (which can be bought at any drugstore) and, starting on the left, twist hair through the band, collecting more hair as you go. Do the same to the right side and meet in the middle. Secure loose pieces with bobby pins.
- Rainbow Fishtail
While this one may take a little longer to create, it is sure to catch the eye of a cute boy in passing. The rainbow fishtail is created by tying, or bobby pinning, a few pieces of colorful yarn into hair, then creating a fishtail braid. If you need help creating this look, follow this link to
