Breaks from school are often spent hanging out and catching up with old freinds just as much as your family. But sometimes you run in to “frenemies”, or just the people you weren’t so fond of. When that happens, you want to be sure you are dressed your best. Here are a few tips how.

Most important, always assume you’re going to see someone you know every time you leave the house. Trade in the just rolled out of bed look that you normally wear to class for a shower and some make-up.

Rather than jeans and a t-shirt, use this time to dress up a little. Nice jeans or leggings with boots and a fashionable shirt. Colored skinnes are popular right now and go well with a neutral top. Don’t forget to add the small details to your outfit too! Accessories, such as shoes, jewelry, scarves and belts, make all the difference by standing out. They draw the good kind of attention to you!

They key is to make them think you dress like this daily. You don’t want them to know it’s a special circumstance in their favor.

Right after the holidays have been celebrated is the easiest time to dress up. Put your new Christmas clothes to work and wear them out. You’re probably anxious to show them off anyways.

Follow these few simple tricks, and you’ll be having all your old classmates wishing they were as cool as you now.
