Here at UC Berkeley we like to take care of the environment.  We recycle, reuse, and recently there have been rumors that plastic bottles will be banned soon on campus. The question now is, how will I drink water? Here at Her Campus we have that answer for you: bobble water bottles.

Bobble is a revolutionary product that takes care of the planet, hydrates your body, satisfies your taste buds and looks good while doing it. As opposed to other water bottles, bobble features a built-in, replaceable filter that removes chlorine and organic contaminants from potable tap water, yielding a cleaner, crisper taste.

Each filter is equivalent to 300 single-serve water bottles. Bobbles are reusable and so over the course of a year, bobble users will be able to remove about thousands of single-serve bottles from the environment. Amazing right?

If you are like many here at UC Berkeley, you can get involved by making a small personal change that can save the landfill from thousands of water bottles a year. That small personal change really does make a difference. In the past three years, bobble sales have helped save 4.2 billion single serve water bottles from our landfills.

In 2010, bobble was created and launched. Its iconic bottle was designed by industrial designer Karim Rashid. Three years later, bobble was acquired by Seventh Generation, one of the nation’s leading green brands.  Until this day, bobble’s main goal continues to be, to educate people to make the choice to eliminate single-serve water bottles.

Fun Fact: Currently bobble is sold in over 30 countries, in more than 40,000 stores worldwide.

Where and how much can I get a bobble?
