This romantic comedy-drama film centers on a semi-dysfunctional family at Christmastime. No spoilers intended, but the couples we see at the beginning of the film may not necessarily end up together at the end of the movie. Nonetheless, this movie will make you appreciate your family.
5. Just Friends
OK – not many people know about this movie, but because it’s cute, Christmas-y, and hysterically funny, we’ve included it on the list. Basically Chris (Ryan Reynolds) is a chubby high school student who is eternally friend-zoned by his BFF Jamie (Amy Smart). Heartbroken, Chris then goes on a hiatus for 10 years and suddenly becomes a music industry hotshot who managed to woo every single woman out there, except for the one he loves. With the help of Samantha (Anna Faris), he may just win Jamie over.
4. Elf
It’s always the movies with heart-wrenching scenes between parent and child that turn us into a bunch of softies. Elf is really just a classic Christmas comedy, but we still think that Buddy and Jovie have the cutest relationship ever!
3. Bridget Jones’s Diary
Most people don’t know that Bridget Jones’s Diary is actually a spinoff of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. In this classic rom-com, Bridget finds herself caught between the conniving and charming Daniel Cleaver (aka Mr. Wickham), and the dashing, romantic, yet slightly aloof Mark Darcy. If you have the day off, why not watch the sequel while you’re at it?

This is without a doubt one of the best Christmas movies ever. No matter if you’re heartbroken or over the moon in love, this is the perfect Christmas movie for you.
