It’s a new year, so maybe time for New Year’s resolutions, and maybe a new start? HCX came up with a few mistakes that we won’t be making this term!
1) Picking a night out on the off-chance that he might be there… Chances are he probably won’t be anyway, and you’ve missed your Arena Monday guilty pleasure for no reason.
2) Going to the Forum on the off-chance he might be there. Come on ladies, attention back on the book, leave the poor rugby boys alone.
3) Deciding to stay home because he WON’T be there. Or because you’re feeling lazy, either way, re- grow your lady balls, turn off Kardashians and get on your way
4) Picking boys over work. We’re independent women and all that… get yourself together before you make time for flirting.
5) Telling your friends to steer clear of guys, mainly because you don’t want to lose them as wing-women. 2014 is the year of selflessness. Go at it alone ladies. It only means less competition for you anyway.
6) Letting your boyfriend/fling treat you badly. You are amazing (probably) and deserve better. Don’t let him hold you back.
7) Letting a boy tell you what to wear/ how to do your hair. We all know us girls dress for each other’s approval, for all we care guys can think we look terrible (except we don’t – we’re fabulous).
8) Caring too much about what a boy’s friends think of us. As long as he likes you, you’re doing alright- there are more important things to worry about.
​9) Hiding from awkward boys of Exeter past. It’s a small campus, it happens, and when it does just be confident and OWN IT.
10) Fooling ourselves that we will no longer make these mistakes. Whilst secretly planning to make one in the next few days/hours- we’re only human after all.
