Happy New Year! Take a deep breath, give yourself a pat on the back, and even do a little victory dance. You have successfully made it through 2013! Being busy college students, complete with exams, clubs, and social lives, sometimes it’s easy to forget that every day counts, and that we shouldn’t wish away the year. So here is 2014, 12 months ahead of us. 12 months that we can fill with new friends, new classes, and new experiences. In a society that is constantly trying to change us, ignore the ads this new year about how to transform yourself. Instead, embrace the beautiful you, have some new experiences, and passionately fill all of this year’s moments with love, laughter, dancing and things you’ve never tried before. Here are some ideas for ways to make 2014 your most interesting year yet!

1. Eat dessert first. (Because you will probably be too full for it after your meal, and we all need a little bit of chocolate cake in our lives)

2. Wear blue eyeliner.

3. Wear neon underwear. No one will see it, but you will know it’s there. Wear something that will make you feel confident and sexy underneath that big, puffy coat you wear.

4. Trade out your coffee for tea.

5. Date a guy who isn’t your usual “type”.

6. Introduce yourself to someone new in one of your classes.
