This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UVA chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.
Dylan Fogarty, a 3rd year student majoring in Biology and Economics, is this week’s Campus Cutie. From UVA sporting events to Project SERVE, Dylan dedicates his time and heart to this university in just about every way possible.

We asked him to answer some questions so we could get to know him and the passion behind his involvements a little better.

Hometown: Winchester, VA

Activities around Grounds:  I’m the Marketing Chair for Third Year Council, the Technology & Social Media Chair for ‘Hoo Crew (the UVA student fan section), a Moderator for Wahoo Central (UVA Athletic’s Social Media Command Center), the Graphic Designer for First Year Players, and a Site Leader for Project SERVE. Wait… did I say I was majoring in Biology and Economics? I spend the majority of my week at sporting events (at least one to even three or four a week); it’s just something that I really enjoy and get excited about. Go Hoos! I’m also very passionate about designing graphics, so you probably own a shirt I’ve designed for an organization here.

Celebrity Crush: I have teardrops on my guitar thanks to Taylor Swift.

Favorite class taken at UVA: I would say my favorite courses at UVA are the Dracula course in the Slavic Department and any course taught by Coppock (Public Choice & Principles of Macroeconomics). I was actually excited to attend these classes, which never happens to me.

Proudest moment at UVA: Lighting of the Lawn ’13. I was on the marketing committee for Lighting of the Lawn this past year and I don’t even know how to even begin describing what I was feeling when “Lights” by Ellie Goulding started playing and the whole Lawn went crazy. It was a great feeling knowing that you were apart of such a special UVA tradition.

Something people don’t know about you: I like bad romcom movies — like really bad. Movies that usually are nominated for a Razzie Award and no one has ever heard of nor watched. Thus, I generally avoid Academy Award-winning movies.

Best way to spend a Friday night: An ideal and typical Friday night for me is attending a UVa soccer game, then hanging out with some friends until the wee hours of the morning.
