Since these nominations are announced approximately two months in advance, many people just want to fast forward to the highly acclaimed night in Hollywood to see who the winners will be (and of course to see who the best and worst dressed candidates on the red carpet will be as well).
Speaking of red carpet, the majority of people who use some form of social media know about Jennifer Lawrence, specifically regarding her out of the ordinary, hilarious on-camera interview antics. Due to all of the love and press Lawrence gets because of her hilarity, young adult girls would love to see Jennifer Lawrence snag that Oscar.
Let’s hope and pray that Lawrence doesn’t stumble up stage accepting her possible award like last year’s show, even though she played off the fall exceptionally well. Any average person would have wanted to cry and bury themselves in a hole due to the embarrassment of falling, but not our girl J. Lawrence.
Another person that the world would love to see win an Oscar is the talented and oh-so attractive Leonardo DiCaprio. After being nominated for the fourth time, Leonardo DiCaprio still has not won an Oscar. DiCaprio is nominated for his leading role in this year’s controversial film “The Wolf of Wall Street,” even though he should have been nominated for role as Jay Gatsby for the extravagant parties that his character threw.
Let’s hope that this year’s show will be a fabulous party to watch for all audiences. Ellen DeGeneres will host the 86th Academy Awards. This is not DeGeneres’s first time at the rodeo; DeGeneres hosted the award show in 2007.
DeGeneres said, “I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say—the third time’s the charm.” DeGeneres proves she will bring her humor and charm on her big night.
The live show will air on ABC on Sunday, March 2 at 7 p.m. eastern time. So sit back, relax and watch the classic, well-renowned show and watch history in the making. The homework can honestly wait.
