Right after sitting down at our meeting, I quickly learned what a privilege it was to interview Philip Boukas as Fairfield’s first ever Campus Cutie. The Long Island native is known for being the life of the party as well as one of the most genuine and caring guys out there. Even though it is Philip’s first year on Fairfield’s lacrosse team, it has become obvious that he shines both on the field and off. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on a catch like Phillip — keep reading to find out more about this cutie!
Name: Philip Boukas
Hometown: Manhasset, New York
Intended Major: Finance
Year: 2017
HC: Okay Phil, let me start off by asking, what’s the best part about playing on Fairfield Lacrosse?
Philip: I would definitely say that being able to already have a group of friends through my team at a relatively small school is really beneficial. Being on the team means that you’ll always have a good group of people to stand behind you.
HC: So off of the field, what do you guys normally do?
Philip: Hmm … We play pickup basketball a lot when there’s some down time, and now that spring is right around the corner, we’ll be able to go to the beach more often.
HC: The beach is definitely a huge asset to the social scene here at Fairfield! What would you say is your “go to” party song?
Philip: Wow there are so many … I need to look at my phone. I’d definitely say “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Ray (Cedric Gervais’ remix) or “If I Lose Myself” by Alesso.
HC: Those are two great picks!
Philip: They’re the best!
HC: What would you say is the one thing that people don’t know about you?
Philip: Oh, definitely that I’m a “Gentle Giant.”
HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Philip: Hmmm…I’d like to say you’ll definitely see me with a career in finance, working on Wall Street.
