Valentine’s Day Beauty for any Occasion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Tufts chapter.

Whether you are prepping for a romantic dinner together or getting pumped for a wild night of fun, here are three makeup looks for any valentine’s day occasion.

1.      Romantic Dinner

If you dream of the roses, heart shaped boxed candies and giant stuffed animals on Valentine’s Day, and you are going on a classic dinner date, keep your makeup look soft and dreamy with hazy taupe and lavender eye shadow and plump pink lips. Remember to blend your eyeshadow with a crease brush to bring the look together.

Foundation: Giorgio Armani Last Silk UV Foundation ($60)

Eyeliner: Trish McEvoy Eye Definer in Deep Amethyst ($18)

Eyeshadow: Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Lavender Grace ($50)

Lipbalm: Philosophy Kiss Me Exfoliating Lip Cream ($16)

Lipgloss: L’oreal Wet Shine Stain in Pink Perseverance ($10)

2.      Night Out

An alternative to your classic dinner date is a fun night out with your special someone. Whether you are attending a concert or show, sport this glitzy and edgy to match the mood of the night. Don’t neglect your brows in this look. The glitter liner pulls attention towards your eyes and unruly brows can distract. Tip! Apply both eyeliners in short, small strokes to achieve the most clean, graphic line.

Eyebrow Kit: Smashbox Brow Tech Trio ($25)

Eyeshadow: MAC Eyeshadow in Soft Brown ($15)

Eyeliner: Stila Stay All Day Eyeiner in Black ($20)

Glitter Eyeliner: Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner in Junkshow($19)

Mascara: MAC False Lashes Mascara ($21)

Nail Polish: Nails Inc Nail Polish ($9.50)

3.      Low key Hangout

Not every couple makes a big deal out of Valentine’s day, whether you’re just hanging out with a group of your friends or you’re having a low key night in, don’t forget to put a little bit of effort into your beauty routine to keep the night special. A bright lip stain keeps your makeup natural and will last all night long- through the soda and candies. Remember to moisturize your lips 10 minutes before applying a lip stain that can be mega drying.
