Recently, American Apparel released photos of their newest lingerie model, Jacky O’Shaughnessy, who happens to be a 62-year-old actress. American Apparel captioned the release, ‘Sexy Has No Expiration Date.’ Jacky was scouted at a restaurant in New York City, and started modeling for the eccentric company in 2011.

Vogue said Jacky had a natural elegance to her that made her a perfect fit for the brand. The “Mature Model” is a somewhat new trend for other clothing companies, such as, The Row and TJ Maxx.

Comments on the photo range from people feeling extreme discomfort, to people in full support of the ad. American Apparel is no stranger to their ads making people feel uncomfortable, and to them, this is just another one of those ads.

Jacky has 18,000 plus likes on the Instagram picture of her in lingerie! She even told Fashionista.com: “You know, I’ve read so many times that modeling is vapid at best. I found it to be engaging and creative. It requires energy and an ability to communicate without words.” How cool is she?!
