Introducing this week’s campus celebrity, Chris Agresti! On top of being the sweetest guy in the whole world, he does a lot right here on campus. He is a co-host on WildChats, is in charge of pay-by-play for our football team, and works in the Hamel Rec Center. Keep reading to find out more about the most dedicated sports fan I know!

Name: Chris Agresti

School/Year: UNH 2014

Major: Communications

Hometown: Seabrook, NH

Activities/Clubs: Intramurals

Tell us about your position working with WildChats, along with when listeners can tune in and hear your beautiful voice.

I co-host a sports talk radio show talking about all topics from the New England Patriots to UNH Hockey. I also was in charge of play-by play for UNH Football. If people want to listen we are on air every Thursday from 6-8 PM on 91.3 FM. People can also listen online at WUNHsports.com

What is your favorite/least favorite part about the job?

My favorite part of the job is basically being able to clown around and talk sports for 2 hours and being able to debate and entertain the callers that get excited about what we are talking about.

My least favorite part of the job is that I missed a LOT of good football tailgates in my four years. I missed the 2011 Gillette game against Umass which I heard was a blast. However, I found a way to sneak my way into a few tailgates this season.

Tell us about your position working with Campus Rec.

I work with about 40 other students in the Hamel Rec Center. We do everything from helping kids rent out towels to making sure all the meatheads are wearing sleeves in the fitness center.

What is your favorite/least favorite part about the job?

It’s pretty awesome seeing all of your friends while you are “working,” and it’s definitely a great conversation starter on weekends when people recognize you from working at the gym.

I absolutely hate the amount of texts I get about “Is the gym open?” when we have snow days. It’s been four years and people still don’t realize that it is always open.

What other involvements do you have here at UNH?

This fall I was part of a social club which a bunch of my friends and we would watch football and eat weird pizzas together. I am also in a pretty competitive Mario Kart league.

I have to ask the dreaded question, what are you plans for after graduation?

I’ve been talking to a few employers, I have absolutely no idea if I want to pursue a career in sports broadcasting or maybe get into something more “real worldish” like sales or marketing. I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.

Give us one fun fact about you!

I am an absolute Root Beer snob.

Lastly, if you could pick next week’s campus celebrity, who would it be and why?

I would have to choose Jae Boom Lim, he is a Korean exchange student who my friends and I met earlier this year, I would call him the most interesting man at UNH.

This is the general account for the University of New Hampshire chapter of Her Campus!
