The most anticipated music night in Great Britain happened to happen last night, the 2014 Brit Awards.

Although they were not televised in the States, for the first time ever they were live-streamed on Youtube for the whole world to see. If you did not catch the live stream don’t worry, we have the top 5 moments that really blew us away. Enjoy!!

1. Brit Awards or American Awards?

This year’s Brit Awards were less Brit and more American.  Our fellow American singers brought there “A” game and really blew the audience away. From Katy Perry to Beyonce to Bruno Mars, American’s sure left there mark this year across the pond.

2. The Fashion!!!

We cannot review an award show without discussing the fashion. The red carpet literally resembled a high fashion runway show. Rita Ora stunned in a yellow Prada dress, while Australian singer Iggy Azalea wowed in Eile Saab.

3. Harry Styles Bathroom Run

By now you probably have seen the Harry Styles running meme circling social media. If you are a little confused as to where this meme came from, we have you covered. It all happened when One Direction won the Global Success award and only four out of the five band members went up to collect the award. Harry Styles nearly missed out on collecting the award due to his quick bathroom break. As he put it, “I was having a wee”.

4. David Bowie’s Absence

David Bowie stole the show last night without even being there. He reclaimed the Best Male Solo Artist award that he last won 30 years ago. Supermodel Kate Moss and Noel Gallagher collected the trophy on his behalf and delivered a blunt political message about Scotland.

5. Beyoncé Top Secret?

Lastly, one of the biggest moments of the 2014 BRIT awards was the not so top secret performance by none other than Queen B. The performance was suppose to be top secret but days earlier information was filtered out about BeyoncĂ© performing for the first time her song “XO”.  Although the surprise was ruined, that didn’t stop the audience from getting excited and experiencing such a beautiful and simple performance. You go Queen B!!
