This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at BC chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

In Christianity, the Beatitudes are the set of teachings by Jesus that begin with, “blessed are…” and appear in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. Each saying is proverb-like, cryptic, precise, and yet full of meaning. Each one includes a topic that forms a major biblical theme. A friend of mine currently enrolled in Religious Quest told me about her class creating their own list of the “Beatitudes of BC.” This inspired me to consider what makes BC students feel fulfilled. Check out of my list of the “Beatitudes of BC.”

· Blessed are the BC Plexers, for there’s an open elliptical

· Blessed are the freshmen who join a club, for now they have weekend plans

· Blessed are the pre-meds in Wolfman chemistry, for they beat the curve

· Blessed are the athletes, for they get their new athletic gear to wear daily

· Blessed are the honors students, nurses, and athletes, for they’re guaranteed four years of housing

· Blessed are the freshmen, for they got an 8-man picktime

· Blessed are those who get out of class early, for there’s no line for a Hillside coffee

· Blessed are the BC breakfast-goers, for there will always be Chobani and breakfast potatoes

· Blessed are the BC students in the winter, for there will always be Bean Boots and Hunters

· Blessed are those with extra meal plan money, for they become everyone’s best friend

· Blessed are the cheap, for a handle of Ruby is still only $14

· Blessed are the Newtonites, for there will always be a 2:05am bus

· Blessed are the thirsty, for there will always be Camelbaks

· Blessed are the CSOM students, for they have had job offers since their BC acceptance

· Blessed are the hungry, for Late Night is open every night

· Blessed are the athletes, for they avoid the Plex and use Yawkey Center

· Blessed are those who have class in Gasson, for there are elevators

· Blessed are the freshmen on Upper, for their calves are toned from the stairs

· Blessed are the seniors, for the Mods are now their home and not just some place to party at

· Blessed are the lazy, for the elevator does stop on the 2nd floor no matter who gives you dirty looks

· Blessed are the very lucky few, for they witnessed the rare opening of Beans, Creams, and Dreams

· Blessed are the hockey fans, for there is Johnny Hockey
