An open letter to the female community of PSU Berks.

Dear Berks Babes,

I’m writing to you to help you learn how to turn down a guy. The other day a Berks girl asked, “Hey, there’s this guy that likes me, what do I do?”

    “Well, do you dig him?”

    “Uh, no… not really.”

    “Then tell him.”

    “What?! How?!”

And so, I’ll answer the how in this letter.

     1. If he tells you he likes you…

Tell him you don’t date guys who talk about their feelings.

     2. If he doesn’t tell you, but you know he likes you…

Call him out. Sure, it’s uncomfortable, but not as uncomfortable as if he makes a grab for your… hand. How do you do it? Throw it out there as a question. And be nice. But let’s stop playing games because I’ll be telling the fellas to do the same thing.

Now let’s talk about…

THE FRIEND ZONE.

If you really, really hate a guy, put him in the friend zone. Guys hate being friend-zoned, so use it sparingly.

What else can you do? Stop being such a girl. Yeah, I said it. Be more honest with the fellas in your life. It might feel good to be liked, but get over yourself. This isn’t high school. Be up-front and honest. Don’t lead guys on. It’s not decent.

Respectfully submitted,

Ed Burns
