Things To Do For St. Patrick’s Day

With St. Patrick’s Day coming up on Monday, it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to be doing that day, especially if you plan on going out and celebrating. With so many activities occuring throughout the weekend— not to mention all of the parades— it can be even harder to know which event you want to attend.

Here are five events that will be happening this weekend in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day:

  1. Lawrence St. Patrick’s Day Parade, March 17.It starts at 1 p.m. at South Park in downtown Lawrence (11th Street and Mass Street). 
  2. St. Patio Show, March 17.It starts at 3 p.m. in the Replay Lounge. It is including various band like Fast Food Junkies and more, lasting even after 10 p.m. 
  3. The Granada’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, March 17. Beginning at 11 a.m., there will have various activities throughout the day like bands playing at 6 p.m. then a dance party starting at 10 p.m. 
  4. Shawnee St. Patrick’s Parade, March 16.It will start at 1 p.m., beginning on Monrovia Street and going down Johnson Drive. 
  5. Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 at 11am.Beginning at 11 a.m., it starts at Linwood Street and heads towards 43rd Street.

Those are just a few of the many activities that will be in store for you this weekend in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. Some take place right in Lawrence yet others take place in different parts of Kansas. Have fun and enjoy St. Patrick’s Day!
