5 Reasons to Be Excited For The Fault in Our Stars Movie

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

1. There are so many famous quotes.

Between using okay” instead of the clichéd “always” and “my thoughts are stars I can’t fathom into constellations” this story is timelessly brilliant. Tidbits like these are the only things that seem to stick with you months after you watch it. Thankfully, John Green leaves us a lot to remember.

2. Shailene Woodley.

There’s something about Shailene that’s so effortless, maybe it’s because she seems like everyone’s best friend mixed with a model or how in interviews she’s so humble. But whatever it is I like it and I’m happy to be seeing her as Hazel.

3. John Green is the writer.

Has anyone seen the Vlog Brothers? Just me? John Green is just unapologetically himself 100% of the time, which is admirable to say the least. So, naturally, his work on the movie set will reflect that.

4. You will cry.

Reading it the first time was hard enough and the second time didn’t seem to get any easier in the tear department. But it’s important to treasure those stories that make you feel something because they don’t come around very often.

5. Social Media makes it its job to show it.

I don’t even have to log in to see snapshots of it, it’s just shamelessly advertised 24/7. Don’t even get me started on their tweets from the set. Which is all the more enjoyable because it’s a constant reminder to look forward to it coming out and seeing it in theaters at least five times.

Make sure to catch The Fault in Our Stars in theaters June 6, 2014!
