Give and Go

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Agnes Scott chapter.

Agnes Scott College, the Office of Sustainability. and The International Rescue Committee (IRC) are partnering up this semester for Agnes Scott’s second “Give and Go.”

What is the IRC you may ask? Their website states that they “respond to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives. At work in over 40 countries and 22 U.S. cities to restore safety, dignity, and hope, the IRC leads the way from harm to home.”

How can I be a part of this AWESOME effort you may ask? Starting April 25th until the end of the semester, designated “Give and Go” boxes will be placed in Winship, Walters, Main, Rebekah, and Inman for you to donate your housing/school/kitchen supplies, linens, clothing, and anything that is NOT FOOD, TRASH, OR TEXTBOOKS that you don’t want to take home or get rid of for the cause. These supplies will then be given to people receiving aid from the IRC to help them get back on their feet.

Feel good about moving out and donate to the IRC!
