What UMass Lazy Looks Like (As Told By GIFs)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

Well, Collegiettes, it’s that time of the semester again. Finals. As a UMass Amherst student, I can already tell it’s going to be tough fighting my way through procrastination, the promise of summer (we’re finally getting gorgeous weather!), and of course general laziness. But we students don’t just suffer from any kind of lazy—no, no. We suffer from “UMass Lazy.” What exactly is UMass Lazy?

Imagine what you’re like when you’re lazy—do you eat a lot? Sleep a lot? Procrastinate a lot? If you’re anything like me, it’s all three, times ten. As a matter of fact, it pretty much looks like this:

Pretty, isn’t it? But here at UMass, we have a specific type of lazy, which can be summed up pretty easily (which is awesome, because if it wasn’t, I’d be too lazy to).

You don’t want to waste your energy trying to find a table at Berk, so a trip to the Grab N’ Go it is!

The thought of fighting your way for a seat on the bus makes you tired (But who can stand that walk from Mahar to ISB?)…

And the mention of homework literally repulses you…

We’ll turn down a night out with friends, just for a second of prime relaxing time.

We start Netflix-binging like crazy…

But as soon as someone brings it up to you, that’s when you get on the defensive.

But hey, you deserve this downtime! It’s hard work being a UMass student.

What does your lazy look like, Collegiettes?
