Why did you choose VCU?
I chose VCU because the moment I set foot on campus, I fell in love. I loved the idea of going to a school in the city and I love that VCU is part of Richmond. There’s always something going on in the city, and I absolutely love all of the artworks and murals on the sides of buildings.
Why do you want to be a teacher?
I want to be a teacher, because I love kids. I have always loved working with children and in my junior year of high school I volunteered at an elementary school and I knew what I wanted to do with my life. Volunteering at the elementary school was so much fun for me. There’s a lot that teachers do, but I think it’s all worth it in the end when you see that smile when everything clicks in their brain and they learn something new.
What do you look for in a guy?
A lot of things, but the two most important things are a sense of humor and a big, caring heart. Looks are important too, but he needs to be able to make me laugh and be kind and caring towards not only me, but others as well.
Who is your greatest influence?
My greatest influence is my boyfriend. He always motivates and encourages me to do my best. He is always there for me no matter what and has always been supportive of me.
Dream Date?
My dream date would be a day trip to the beach with lots of sun and food! We’d drive down to the beach, hang out by the water all day, eat junk food, and watch the sun set together.
Who is your celebrity crush?
I have so many!!!! But definitely Leonardo DiCaprio <3333333333
What do you plan to do after college?
After college, I want to travel the world and teach English or a subject in need to young children. I want to experience the world, meet new people, and learn new things before I settle down in a classroom.
What are you involved in on campus?
I am the 17th Floor Representative of Brandt Hall Council, a member of the Emerging Leaders Program and the STAT Leadership Council, a site leader for Alternative Spring Break at VCU, and a future RA for Johnson Hall.
If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you go and why?
If I could travel anywhere I wanted to, I would love to go on a tour of Europe. I would love to be able to say that I have traveled to every country in Europe. The two countries I would love to visit the most are Italy and Greece because I love beaches.
Do you have any talents?
I can speak Japanese and I can knit!
