We have all missed the last call for a meal in college. On-campus eateries tend to have the strangest hours, but missing the last call to order a Bistro pizza isn’t the end of the world! In most dorm rooms, students are allowed to have a microwave and refrigerator, allowing for our “inner chefs” to come out. Here are some great ideas to spice up your dorm room cooking experience:Â
Â
1. Scrambled eggs….in a mug!Â
Ever wanted to feel like Bill Nye the science guy? Well, you can be a mad scientist and fill your tummy at the same time (whoah)!
We recommend adding grated cheese for an extra delicious treat. Eggs, meet the microwave. Â
Â
2. Yogurt Parfaits
The healthy version of an ice cream sundae is equally delicious, and provides a dose of nutrients!Â
Layered with fruit and granola, this is a breakfast that’ll keep you going all class long.Â

Â
3. Awesome Mexican Chip DipÂ
It’s like being at your favorite mexican cucina! You wont get the whole enchilada with this snack (literally), but you will be satisfied nonetheless.
Tasty tortilla chips for dipping, a can of chili or refried beans, sour cream, and cheese is all you need. (We recommend guacamole, too!!)Â
Â
4. Oatmeal
There is no persuading with this one. It is the “super-food” of the college microwave. Oatmeal is filling, full of fiber, and good for you!
There are so many delicious ways to enjoy oatmeal.Â
Â
5. Soup
It is easy, convenient, and above all, comforting. Â
Anyone heard of a little thing called Ramen?
We hope you like these super-simple meals to create in your dorm room!Â
