Invite the girls and break out the Moscato, it’s Passion Party time. What’s a Passion Party, you ask? We got the dirt on these delightfully dirty parties from Tallahassee consultant Jessica Oyster.

Jessica Oyster (JO): A Passion Party is a fun Girls Night In, where ladies 18+ gather to giggle, learn about their bodies and how to enhance their relationships, and shop for products to enhance their love lives.

Her Campus (HC): How do you host one?

JO: These parties typically take place in a hostess’ home. The Hostess invites friends and neighbors to come to her home and see a product demonstration, learn the latest in sensual products, and have the ultimate girls’ night in®.

HC: How did you become a consultant?

JO: I was invited to a Passion Party several years ago, and was entranced with the presentation and the idea that I could earn money while helping women learn about their bodies and give them a fun stress-free evening with their friends! Becoming a Passion Consultant is easy — you begin by purchasing a demonstration kit (at a deep discount) and you are trained on product details, how to conduct a party, how to place an order, and so forth!

HC: Who comes to Passion Parties?

JO: In every age category (18+, of course!), every ethnicity, every domestic living situation and sexual tendency, and every financial background. I’ve had parties in multi-million dollar mansions with corporate housewives, and I’ve had parties in one bedroom apartments next to campus. Women come to my parties to escape from the daily pressures of work/school/relationships/families and get to giggle with their girlfriends.

HC: What is the most popular item sold at your parties? And what’s your favorite item?

JO: Believe it or not, over 80% of the products we sell are of the “mild” variety like massage essentials, bath and body products, soy candles, and flavored items. People come to the party to see the “wild” stuff, but the majority of guests purchase a handful of mild items as well as a wild! My all-time mild favorite item is anything that’s from our Pomegranate Ginger spa line. The scent is intoxicating… it wipes the stress right out! As for my favorite wild item… a girl’s gotta keep her secrets!

HC: Last question, what do we have to do if we want to be a hostess?

JO: Hosting a Passion Party is easy! Hostesses pick an open date from my calendar, and I send them a hostess packet with some simple instructions, as well as an invitation for them to use and optional theme ideas. They invite all their girlfriends, we party, and the hostess gets a portion of the party sales to purchase her own Passion Products!
