Danny McCormick ’15

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Utah chapter.

Meet campus cutie, Danny McCormick. Danny is a senior here at the University of Utah and is majoring in marketing and entrepreneurship. He plays football here at the U, and can be found in the library when studying for a big test. Be careful not to burp in front of him though (we trust you won’t), it’s his biggest turn off. Have we piqued your interest yet? Go ahead and keep reading to find out more about this campus cutie! Don’t crush too hard!

Name:  Danny McCormick

Hometown:  Mission Viejo, CA

Graduation Year:  2015

Major:  Marketing and Entrepreneurship

Relationship Status:  Single

Boxers or briefs?  Briefs.

Meet Danny:

Describe yourself in 3 words.  Loyal, snuggly, and kind-hearted.

What’s your dream job?  A Geneticist who conducts research to rid the world of hereditary diseases.

What are 3 things you can’t live without?  My American Akita dog (Koda Bear Fluffytail), and Netflix. I also could not live without my best friend, my mom.

What’s your favorite food?  Burritos. You can have them for any meal, take them on the go, and put anything you want in them! My favorite is the Cali burrito with guacamole from Betos.

What’s your party anthem?  “Dat Baby” by Shawty Putt

What’s your favorite late night snack?  Del Taco. Back home there was one next to my house and when I moved here they built one next to where I live now.

What’s your guilty pleasure TV show?  I don’t really have any. Is House of Cards a guilty pleasure?

Who are your celebrity crushes?  Zoe Saldana, Sophia Vergara, and Rosario Dawson.

What’s the best dish you can cook?  My mom’s chicken enchiladas.

Do you have any secret talents?  *Danny calls a friend* Songwriting, final answer.

What is your most embarrassing story?  As a kid I went to a MLB night game. A friend and I were catching bugs and I caught a moth. I put it into a straw and was going to shoot it out. I forgot to take a breath before I put the straw to my mouth and ended up choking on the moth. I coughed up dust in front of the entire section, which was filled with people I knew.

Campus Life:

What’s your best U of U memory?  Crashing the football field after beating BYU when they redid the ending field goal 3 times.

What’s your favorite class that you have taken at the U?  Power Basics with Alan Sandomir.

Best study spot?  Wherever there is dead silence and you can hear a pin drop, like the library.

Best place to meet girls?  Anywhere but Tinder.

Dating Life:

Biggest turn on:  I can’t say because my mom is going to read this.

Biggest turn off:  Burping, oh my gosh burping!

What is a girl trend you hate/ don’t understand?  High-waisted shorts or pants.

What do you look for in a girl?  Consistency. When first meeting a girl she should be truly who she is and not putting on an act to make a good first impression. Also, a strong relationship with her family, and someone who’s not afraid to try new things. She can be shy just as long as she is willing to get out of her comfort zone for me.

What’s the nicest thing you’ve ever done for a girl?  I took dance classes for a girl because she said all of her past boyfriends were never into the same hobbies as her. I secretly took salsa classes to surprise her with a romantic dance.

Describe your ideal date.  We would go to the Natural History Museum and stay long enough to read everything on every exhibit. Then I would take her to Red Butte Garden to watch the sunset. After we would finish the date by going grocery shopping for fresh produce to use for dinner prepared by us both.

What’s your favorite pick up line?  “If I told you you had a nice body, would you hold it against me?” – Joe Dirt

U of U girls are the best because…  they are health conscious and well cultured.
