Her Campus: What have you enjoyed most about your major?Erica Sheridan: I like that all of the classes are very current with today, and allows you to be a little creative. It made me more aware of all the examples of how marketing is around me in my everyday life.

HC: What has been your favorite class so far at Bloomsburg?ES: My favorite class so far was Marketing Principles and Practices, even though it was at 8am; it gave me insight on what my major really is about.

HC: How do you manage school and sorority life?ES: I try to stay organized and make a lot of lists and notes to help manage my time. Being more involved always helps me get more accomplished because staying busy doesn’t allow you to slack.

HC: Were your parents supportive in your decision to run for president of your sorority?ES: Yes, my parents were very supportive in my decision. They’re my biggest supporters and were proud that I wanted to step up and take on such a high responsibility.

HC: Why did you choose to join the sorority Phi Iota Chi?ES: I never had plans to join a sorority, but when I was a freshman I met a couple of girls from Phi Iota Chi and saw the bond that they had with one another, and that’s what I wanted. I always felt so comfortable and welcomed whenever I was around them; it became a home away from home while I’m at college.

HC: Where do you see yourself in the future, professionally and personally?ES: In the future I hope to have graduated Bloomsburg with a Marketing degree and get my masters in Fashion Merchandising, and have a profession in the fashion industry. I’d also like to get married and have a couple kids eventually.

Kathryn is a loquacious and driven senior at Bloomsburg University studying English. Journalism has been her focus for almost eight years and she's slightly excited but mostly petrified of exploring her career options in a few short months. She can be found roaming the halls of Bakeless, yelling into the abyss in BU's student newspaper The Voice's office or making pancakes for her roommates.Check out her personal blog and her study abroad blog.
