Her Campus (HC): Hey Ryan! Okay, so let’s start off with the basics! Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Ryan Bender (RB): Ok, well I’m a junior, double majoring in Communication Studies and Sports Management. I’m from Orlando, FL but originally from St. Louis.
HC: What is an interesting fact about you?
RB: My family was on a game show called Let’s Make a Deal and we actually won the Grand Prize!
HC: Where do you see yourself in the next five years?
RB: Working for ESPN as an anchor.
HC: Who is your all-time favorite athlete and why?
RB: St. Louis Cardinals player Yadier Molina. He is one of the best in the game and he is loyal to his team and his city. He is an all-star but doesn’t act like it at all. He just plays the right way.
HC: What caused your passion for sports?
RB: My father sparked my interest in sports and it’s something that we bonded over.
HC: What is that one thing you cannot live without?
RB: I can’t live without music.
HC: What is your biggest fear?
RB: My biggest fear is heights.
HC: What is your current relationship status?
RB: Taken. I have a girlfriend.
HC: What are your top three songs to listen to right now?
RB: Right now, I would definitely say my top three are “Higher You are” by Branches Remix, “Yesterday” by Atmosphere, and “Bad” by David Guetta.
HC: Are you involved in any organizations on campus?
RB: Yes, I’m a second year Garnet and Gold Guide.
HC: If you had the opportunity to give a special shout out to any one right now, who would it be and what would you say? Go!
