This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Mass Amherst chapter.

On August 11th, 2014, the world lost a comedic legend. Robin Williams is known for starring in some of the most beloved comedies and dramas from the Millennial Generation’s childhood years. Losing him felt like losing a part of most of our childhoods. He played many beloved and memorable roles and warmed the hearts of millions. Between these characters and his personal prerogative on life, Williams is going to keep changing the world long after his passing. Here are some of the roles and quotes we will remember him best for:

Dead Poets Society (1989)

Fern Gully (1992)

Jumanji (1995)

Aladdin (1992)

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

Good Will Hunting (1997)

Jack (1996)

Hook (1991)

Patch Adams (1998)

Flubber (1997)

From Jumanjii to Good Will Hunting, it is without a shadow of a doubt that Williams left a lasting impression on the world, and his words of wisdom and hilarity will be his legacy.  He left us with some magical films with which to grow up!
