Ellinor Olovsdotter, also known as Elliphant, hails from Stockholm, Sweden, just like a lot of the great songwriters/producers of our generation. Swedes seem to have this natural born pop sensibility, but Elliphant fuses a mix of genres into her music. In this collab with MØ, an artist from Denmark with a similar style, there’s synth, a simple drum beat, pop vocals, and honest lyrics like, “Come Hang With Me/I Got Money/I’ll Pay For You”. The music video compliments the song perfectly; these girls have this off center Northern Europe swag about them that’s infectious.
