If  last year was your junior year, leaving Oxford in May was bittersweet. You knew coming back in August would be your last Welcome Week, your last First Day of School and the last time you got those butterflies in your stomach when you drove up on High Street. But in reality, your senior year is something you will remember forever. It’s a time where everything comes together and seniors call all the shots. Checking one thing off the bucket list at a time with your housemates, while still making it to every Side Bar Happy Hour are only the first two requirements of doing your last year right.

Here are 14 other tell-tale signs that you’re a senior at Miami:

1. Your jeans from freshmen year serve more as a remembrance of your tiny waist rather than rocking them at out on the weekend.

2. You can name every single bartender by first name at CJ’s, Brick Street and Side Bar.

3. You start to laugh when people I.D. you, but then secretly get excited because they think you still look like a 19-year-old.

4. Only 12 credit hours fill your schedule, and three of them are Intro to Wine Tasting.

5. You become envious of the 95 pound freshmen stuffing their faces with Bruno’s Balls, because they still haven’t gained a pound yet.

6. You’ve mastered the CJ’s 14 Day Challenge. Name on the Wall. Check!

7. Friday classes are a thing of the past.

8. You actually enjoy the taste of a nice, cold Natty Light. (But you consider yourself classy when you go for a Shock Top.)

9. The only place to find you on Wednesday nights are at O-Pub for Wine Night.

10. When you go to a party, you actually know someone there.

11. You’ve almost had every bagel at Bagel & Deli.

12. The 22nd birthday is probably the most depressing birthday yet …. damn you’re old.

13. No matter if you’re ordering a salad at Farmer, running at the Rec Center, walking under Upham Arch or hanging out in entral Quad, you make sure to take in every second of walking across “the most beautiful campus there ever was” (according to Robert Frost, and all Miamians of course).

14. Realizing your time in the best place in the world is limited, and all you want to do is spend time with your best friends.
