Laguna Beach: Where Are They Now?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at American chapter.

In honor of Laguna Beach turning 10, it’s time to take a trip down memory lane. So play some Hilary Duff and let’s see where these cool teens ended up in the world, shall we?

Lo Bostoworth

The fabulously sarcastic Lo called it quits with television after The Hills went off the air in 2010. She then moved to New York City where she went to culinary school and is an avid SoulCyclist. You can keep up with her on her blog, The Lo Down and remember why you feel in love with her in the first place.

Stephen Colletti

Ah, Stephen. Despite his arrogant ways, he always had this sweet smile on Laguna Beach. Fans of the show remember he attended San Francisco State University, but quickly came back to LA to pursue an acting career. He got a part in a Taylor Swift music video and appeared as a regular on One Tree Hill. But the show eventually ended in 2012 and he hasn’t done anything since. He does keep a pretty great instagram account and recently posted a photo of a great reunion of all the boys.

Christina Schuller

Usually when one puts Christina and Laguna Beach together one of the first things they think about was her audition for Broadway. But now she‘s taken on a new role as a wife and mother. She also runs a website that offers diet and fitness tips and is a barre instructor.

Dieter Schmitz

Good old Dieter was always the friend of Lauren and Stephen but now he’s into hospitality and management. At the moment he’s the General Manager of EVEN hotels and is dating an unidentified blonde girl.

Morgan Olsen

Well, for starters, it’s Morgan Smith now. But during her Laguna days she was open to her virginity and only applied to one college, Bringham Young University, which rejected her on camera. But that didn’t stop her, she eventually got into BYU and worked her way up the marketing world. She is now the Digitial Marketing Manager of the dutch design stroller company, Bugaboo. She’s also married, has a kid and a blog

Trey Phillips

Trey was that guy on the show who was always sure of himself and had his life together. So it’s no surprise he still does. After Laguna, Trey went to college at  Parson’s School of Design. He then went to work for designer Vera Wang, where he still works to this day as an Associate Designer of their Ready-to-Wear line. And the icing on the cake is that Lauren and Trey still hang out.

Talan Torriero

One of the top flirts on the show, lived up to his reputation even after Laguna by dating Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Scherzinger, and was engaged to Rod Stewart’s daughter, Kimberly Stewart, when he was 19 and she was 26 years old. Thankfully they called off the engagement a few weeks later. Nowadays, Talan is laying low and is creative producer at a marketing firm.

Kristen Cavallari

Ugh Kristen, some people loved her while other people loved to hate her. People are a little more up to date with her because she made a comeback with The Hills. In April 2011, she announced she was engaged to quarterback, Jay Cutler, but they eventually called of the wedding in July. In classic Kristen spirit, a lot of drama was talked about over the breakup but of course they made up and were married by 2013. They now have two sons and those poor boys will have to see what their mother was like in high school and in her 20’s.

Lauren Conrad

And of course, the amazing Lauren Conrad. Fashion was always on this girl’s mind so no one is surprised by her success. While her first fashion line did not succeed, Conrad found a way to use her fame to a productive advantage. She now runs two fashion lines (Kohl’s LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown), launched a beauty blog called The Beauty Department, a young adult fiction book series called L.A. Candy, a spinoff series of books called The Fame Game, a style book, a beauty book, collaborates with an eco-friendly bag line, Blue Avocado; she has a popular lifestlye blog, LaurenConrad.com, and in October 2012 she and her friend opened an online store, The Little Market, that sells handmade pieces from women all over the world. Exhausted reading about all her endeavors yet? Well too bad, while she is also the proud owner of two adorable dogs, she also found time to marry the love of her life, William Tell, on Sept. 13 of this year. So needless to say, Lauren is doing just fine and that Laguna Beach was only the beginning of her success.
