Right now is the prime time where everyone is getting excited about sweaters, riding boots, and switching over from iced coffee to hot. BUT if you really want to look good while instagramming your personalized pumpkin spiced latte with fall foliage perfectly falling in the background, your makeup needs to be fall ready too.
This particular looks used classic fall colors and can be worn with many different outfits, so follow these steps to duplicate it for yourself. After priming and putting on my Sephora 10 hour long-wear foundation, I started with the eyes. For the eyes, warm neutrals keep the focus on the lips but also bring out your eye color. First I started with a burnt orange MAC paint pot shadow, next I set that with a similar colored shadow to set the base. Next I took a chocolate brown along the outer corner extending up towards the brow and blended it into the crease and covering over the outer third of the lid. Using a light white shadow I lined the brow bone and inner corner of the eye as a highlighter. As a transition color I used a light copper to blend the chocolate brown into the white. All of these warm copper and orangey tones bring out blue and green eyes so I also added a metallic gold shadow right in the center of the lid and slightly blended it to either side which plays up browns and hazels. Lastly for the shadow I added a mix of that metallic gold and a forest green very subtly along the lower lash line. All of these colors can be found in the Coastal Scents 88 Warm shadow pallet. With Motives Cosmetics black gel liner I lined the upper lash line and added a small wing to open up the eyes. Using a flat brow brush I filled my brows in very slightly and finished the eyes by curling my lashes and using brown-black Covergirl lash blast mascara on the top and bottom lashes.
Using the Coastal Scents Camouflage concealer pallet I contoured my face by using a lighter tone under my eyes, on the bridge of my nose extending up the middle of the forehead and out to the sides, on the chin and out along the sides under the hollows of the cheeks. Next I used the darker shades along the hollows of my cheek, up over the temple and onto the forehead on both sides, lightly along the sides of my nose and under my jawbone and blended this all in together to avoid any harsh lines. Lastly I used the Loreal True Match powders in a light, a dark and a medium shade to set and blend the concealers and a natural pink blush on the apples of my cheeks (from the Coastal Scents ten blush pallet). Cranberry is obviously a huge color for the fall so using a cranberry lip liner (Jordana plush plum) and lipstick (L.A. Colors: berry ice) finishing it off with Victoria’s Secret shiny kiss flavor gloss, making lips the focal point is super easy.
This may seem like a lot of steps but even by adding just your favorite part of this look you can make your makeup all ready for fall!
