HC: What does NSOD stand for?

GE: NSOD is an acronym for Never Stop On Dreams!

HC: When did you start NSOD?

GE: I started NSOD in 2009.

HC: How did you come up with your logo?

GE: The name of the logo is the “Masked Dreamer.” I have always been a fan of the Japanese culture and cartoons. So, my inspiration came mostly from there the Japanese culture. The other half of my inspiration came from my passion of wanting to inspire people to dream, that is why there is an inspirational story behind the logo.

HC: How did you get into fashion?

GE: I was inspired by my father to take a chance in the fashion world.

HC: Where is NSOD supported?

GE: There are global supporters. However, I am currently in the process of marketing to bigger masses in countries outside of the US.

HC: Where do you see NSOD in the next 10 years?

GE: In the next 10 years, NSOD will have a store in either New York or California. Not only will there be a store, but will also have a huge amount of supporters globally. We will continue to inspire and take things to higher levels each year. We may even expand to other types of business in which will still represent the brand, and our mission.

HC: Did you think NSOD would be such an inspiring line?

GE: I purposely created NSOD to have an inspiring and motivating message to show others. What I didn’t know is how fast it would grow and how exciting it is for others to witness the growth of the brand. It is so cool to see!

HC: Who inspired you to start NSOD?

GE: In the fashion industry, there are plenty of brands that lack to incorporate great meaning behind their products. Since there is an inspiring void in the fashion industry, I decided to take it upon myself to fill that void.

HC: What has been the most difficult part about NSOD?

GE: The most difficult part is getting enough sleep. The balance of school and running your own business can be a very busy process and an exhausting one. Over the years I have increasingly became better at getting enough sleep.

HC: What has been the most rewarding?

GE: Usually many think that money would be the most rewarding part of owning your own business. However, I highly disagree. The fact that I have the ability to change mindsets and motivate a person to become better is the coolest part. To see a person change for the better after hearing your words of wisdom, or even just being inspired by your actions is the best reward.

HC: Any big plans for 2015?

GE: YES! I have a pop up shop and art gallery I will be using to present a new collection for both men and women in Uptown Minneapolis.

HC: Anything else you want to add about NSOD or yourself?

GE: Yes! I would love to tell all that has read this that you can be whatever you want to be. Don’t let anyone or anything stop you from reaching your dreams! Whichever occupation you choose in life, ensure that it will make you happy and be the best at it. The day you start doing so will be the happiest day of your life. Keep dreaming, dreamer!
