Back-to-school season not only means the return of classes, but also the return of our favorite shows and the premieres of new ones! Watching TV is a great study break (or procrastination method). Here’s the scoop on what collegiettes should be watching this fall:
Returning:
1)The Mindy Project (Fox Tuesdays 9:30pm)
The Mindy Project is back for its third season, and things are looking up for Mindy and Danny’s relationship. Will they actually stay together this time? Watch and find out about Mindy’s hilarious life struggles and first world problems.
2)Parenthood (NBC Thursdays 10pm)
Parenthood returns this fall for its sixth and final season. The Braverman family will take us on an emotional roller coaster as we find out about Joel and Julia, Hank and Sarah, and Amber’s big news.
3)Scandal (ABC Thursdays 9pm)
Olivia Pope is back from her island escape, and things have changed in the Capitol. This season is expected to be predictably unpredictable as Olivia tries to step in and fix everything once again, while consuming copious amounts of red wine, of course!
New:
1)Red Band Society (Fox Wednesdays 9pm)
This new show, starring Octavia Spencer from The Help, is set in a Los Angeles hospital and focuses on the ups and downs of a group of mischievous kids and adults. It’s a comedy-drama, so there are hilarious as well as tragic moments that make this show a potential fall hit.
2)How to Get Away with Murder (ABC Thursdays 10pm)
Another leading actress from The Help, Viola Davis, plays the intimidating law school professor on the new hit produced by Shonda Rhimes (also the producer of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal!). Tune in to see how Davis’s character and some of her students mysteriously get involved in a murder!
3)Bad Judge (NBC Thursdays 9pm)
If you have ever watched Grey’s Anatomy or Private Practice, you will most likely recognize the star of Bad Judge, Kate Walsh. She plays a criminal court judge who may be great in the courtroom, but has a messy private life. This show is expected to be entertaining, goofy and over-the-top (in a good way)!
