I don’t know about you, but whenever Halloween rolls around, I am obsessed with looking at crazy artistic pumpkin carvings. I’m not exactly sure why, but making pumpkins into works of art never ceases to amaze me. So if you’re looking for some unique ideas for your pumpkin carving creation this year, or just appreciate some good ol’ fashioned squash art, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Here are thirteen incredible pumpkin carvings that really helped us get into the Halloween spirit.

Your favorite Studio Ghibli character, in pumpkin form!

This carving is one in a minion.

3. Tinkerbell

This may be one of the cutest carvings I have ever seen.

Long live the (pumpkin) king.

5. Beyonce

Honestly, anything that has Beyoncé and feminist on it is worth sharing.

6. Owls

These pumpkins are a real hoot.

7.  Proposal Pumpkins

These are insanely adorable.

8. Freddie Krueger

Almost as incredible as it is terrifying.

9. Pugs

There’s this really weird phenomenon of people carving pumpkins to look like their dog’s faces, and I am so okay with it.

10.  Wolverine

I wonder if they used Wolverine’s claws to make this.

11. The Nightmare Before Christmas

There will always be a special place in my heart for The Nightmare Before Christmas pumpkin carvings.

12. Katniss Everdeen

This puts a whole new meaning to the girl on fire.
