Iced coffee is generally known to be a delectable summer treat, but it is coming to be a common year-round beverage that mostly everyone enjoys. Iced coffee is the perfect pick-me-up for getting up early in the morning, in the middle of the day, or even late at night to help with studying.
However, sometimes the general iced coffee can taste bland after a while. Here are some recipes you can try to help spice up this cold, caffeinated beverage:
1. Vanilla Cinnamon Iced Coffee
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups cold, brewed coffee
Ice
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Half-and-half or milk, to taste
Instructions:
· Fill a large glass with ice cubes. Add coffee, vanilla extract, cinnamon and half and half (or milk).
· Stir to combine. Taste and adjust half-and-half/milk and vanilla and/or cinnamon as needed.
2. Salted Caramel Iced Coffee
Ingredients:
1 ½ cups cold, brewed coffee
¼ cup caramel sauce, plus small amount for garnish
1/8 teaspoons salt, plus small amount for garnish
Ice
Sugar, to taste
Creamer, half-and-half, or milk, to taste
Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
· Pour 1/4 cup of caramel sauce into mug or cup and add coffee.
· Stir to mix. Add 1/8 teaspoons salt, ice cubes, sugar and creamer.
· Mix well. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce and a few sprinkles of salt all for garnish (optional).
3. Chocolate Caramel Iced Coffee
Ingredients:
¾ cup chocolate caramel creamer (try International Delight’s chocolate caramel creamer!)
1 cup of cold, brewed coffee
Ice
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Whipped cream
Caramel sauce to drizzle on top
Chocolate sprinkles
Instructions:
· Pour chocolate caramel creamer, brewed coffee, ice and vanilla extract into a large glass.
· Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce and chocolate sprinkles.
4. S’mores Iced Coffee
Ingredients:
Cold, brewed coffee
Chocolate milk
Marshmallow fluff
Crushed graham crackers
Instructions:
· Pour chocolate milk and iced coffee into large glass together.
· Top the chocolate milk and iced coffee with marshmallow fluff.
· Finish the beverage off with a garnish of crushed graham crackers.
5. Pumpkin Spiced Iced Coffee
Ingredients:
Cold, brewed coffee
Ice
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 dash of pumpkin spice
½ cup creamer
Instructions:
· Pour coffee into large glass with ice.
· Pour in vanilla extract and creamer to taste.
· Add one dash of pumpkin spice (or more, depending on how much you like pumpkin.)
· Mix in creamer.
