Fall is in the air and what better way is there to celebrate this beautiful season than with some festive crafting? With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the possibilities are endless (after a quick trip to Michael’s)! Check out these fun crafts that will get you in the spirit of the fall holidays.

1. Popsicle Stick Magnet

Craft from: http://thisgirlslifeblog.com/2014/09/popsicle-stick-scarecrow-magnet.html

Who says popsicle stick crafts are just for little kids? Take a trip back in time to your elementary school days and you can create this simple (but adorable) fridge magnet.

What you need: Small piece of cardboard, popsicle sticks, paint, glue, magnet, raffia, Sharpie

Instructions: Glue popsicle sticks and raffia to magnet. Paint desired color and let dry. Draw face onto scarecrow.

2. Chalkboard Pumpkin

Craft from: http://feelinglovesome.blogspot.com/2011/11/pumpkin-fun-part-2.html

This is a super easy craft and it’s so versatile — since the chalk is erasable, you can effortlessly change your message for fall and Thanksgiving!

What you need: Pumpkin, chalkboard paint, chalk

Instructions: Paint a pumpkin with black chalkboard paint (available at any craft store). Let dry and decorate with chalk.

3. Fall Burlap Wreath

Craft from: http://www.papercraftingchic.com/2013/05/burlap-wreath.html

This wreath will add a festive yet sophisticated flair to your otherwise drab dorm hallway.

What you need: wreath form, burlap ribbon, scissors, patterned ribbon (optional), Command hook

Instructions: Loop the burlap through the wreath form, by weaving it through the wire. As you weave it, bunch together the burlap until you have filled the wreath form. Fluff up the burlap for a fuller look. For more detailed instructions, click here.

4. Stuffed Pumpkin Decoration

Craft from: http://www.southern-bliss.com/2013/09/happy-fall-yall-pumpkin-carving-ti…

This decoration is perfect for hanging on a door but would look adorable no matter where you choose to display it!

What you need: a couple yards of burlap, acrylic paint, paint pens or sharpies, plastic grocery bags, hot glue gun & hot glue, ribbon, Command hook

Trace a pumpkin shape onto a sheet of burlap. Stack another sheet below and cut out two pumpkins in an identical shape. Glue the two pieces of burlap together leaving a small space to insert stuffing (crumpled grocery bags). Once glue has tried, stuff pumpkin to achieve fluffed look and glue the hole shut. Paint and decorate pumpkin using paint, paint pens and sharpies. Attach ribbon and hang with Command hook once dry.
