There are few holidays better than Thanksgiving, and the holiday shouldn’t just be limited to how thankful you are for your family. Invite all your closest friends to share some good food and good company! It may seem a little daunting, but, with some planning, you can host the ultimate Friendsgiving.

Decorations

Get festive! Post pictures of you and your friends all around the room, decorate the tables with fake leaves or pumpkins, and get dressed up. The little extra bits will make your Friendsgiving special unlike last week when all of your girls coming over for some delivery pizza.

For some background tunes, have everyone contribute their favorite song to a Thanksgiving playlist that you can sing (and dance) to while you wait for dinner to be served!

Food

One of the easiest ways to have a great Friendsgiving is to have everyone bring a dish. Make sure you’ve got the rolls, turkey, sides, desserts, and drinks (wine, never forget the wine!) all taken care for, potluck style. Then, on the day of the event, feeding all your friends is relatively stress free.

One of our favorites things to volunteer to make is the dessert! You can try to create pumpkin pie cupcakes with caramel cream cheese frosting, the easiest apple crisp to make in your tiny kitchen, or savory salted caramel maple pecan pie bars

Fun!

Don’t stress out so much that you forget what this is about! This get together with all of your friends will give you a chance just to chill out, eat a good meal, and spend some quality time with each other. Talk about your lives (you may have been skimping on the talking time due to school stresses) or watch a Thanksgiving favorite like It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Be sure to come up with some other activities to do before all the food is ready or after you’re stuffed full of turkey and stuffing. We recommend some board games for the competitive types, or, if you all are in need of a laugh, the highly inappropriate Cards Against Humanity.

What are you waiting for? Text all your friends, put on your eating pants, and have the best Friendsgiving ever!
