One of the most stressful times of the year has finally passed: class registration.  Especially as a freshman, this mad dash to enroll before your desired classes are filled up is still almost as nerve-wracking as it was the first time around.  Here’s a timeline of a typical Collegiette’s thought process as she registers for classes:

Two weeks before:

“Hmm… maybe I should start looking for classes to take next semester… nah.”

*Receives email from academic advisor about meeting to discuss classes*

“Okay, maybe I should actually look into this…

THERE ARE SO MANY CHOICES AGHHH”

One week before:

“Oh! This class looks so coo–nope, don’t have the prerequisites.”

*Crosses off a large portion of interesting classes because I’m a freshman*

“Umm, how about… 8 am. LOL nope.”

*Crosses off even more classes because they meet so freaking early in the morning*

Two days before:

“Ahh finally, my shopping cart has all the classes I want to take.

I am so confident in my choices. I’m gonna rock this semester!”

*Watches favorite classes fill up with upperclassmen and engineers*

*Stress-eats while frantically trying to make a new plan with less-than-ideal classes and times*

Day of:

*Heart races, and finger hovers over the enroll button as the clock approaches 9 am*

*Clock strikes 9–enrolls instantly*

Thank goodness that’s over with- until next semester… I’m going back to sleep!

*Sleeps soundly with a satisfied smile on her face*
