When you just can’t get enough of your Boone friends and can’t bear to leave them for a whole five days over Thanksgiving break, host a “friendsgiving” in your apartment or dorm as one last hurrah!
Two Words: Sweet. Potatoes.
These magical little root vegetables can be fully cooked in a microwave, making them ideal for any dorm room or apartment kitchen. Just take a good-sized sweet potato, poke a few holes in it, and heat it up for 3 minutes. Also, these babies are great in a classic casserole that could feed your whole floor. Chock full of nutrients and easy to make? Yes please!

Bread… Any kind. Every kind.
Biscuits, cornbread, muffins, stuffing—on Friendsgiving, carbs are like the awkward uncle you don’t want to invite but ends up making dinner extra wonderful. You can’t go wrong with the Pillsbury golden layers biscuits or a box of Jiffy cornbread. These are both super easy to make in the dorm oven and wallet friendly too!

Sweet Treats
A friendsgiving isn’t complete without some autumn themed desserts, so whip up some quick treats in no time with only a few ingredients. Pick a dessert that has some premade ingredients or doesn’t have to be baked, just to make your life a little easier. Some apple pie inspired crescent rolls or this easy pumpkin pie cake will satisfy any sweet tooth craving you and your friends have.

The main event.
What is Thanksgiving without a bangin’ turkey? Don’t let the idea of baking a huge bird in your tiny apartment kitchen intimidate you, because you can purchase a fully cooked turkey from the holy grail of Southern fried chicken. Bojangles offers a fried turkey smothered in it’s famous seasonings and it just needs to be reheated. Easy enough, right?
Last but most certainly not least, the cranberries.
Personally, the cranberry sauce offered at my family’s Thanksgiving feast is my favorite part of the whole meal, but that might just be because it comes out of a can when the rest of the dinner is completely homemade. Canned cranberry sauce can be sliced, diced, and spread onto biscuits, turkey, whatever your heart desires. It’s super cheap and a Thanksgiving staple.
