Campus Cutie: Maggie Rodriguez

Maybe she’s helped you out at the IT desk or you’ve had to face her in flag football but we bet you’ve seen junior Maggie Rodriguez around Xavier’s campus. She’s super sweet and relateable (don’t we all follow Lauren Conrad’s life…?) and we’re so happy to have her as this week’s cutie! 

Campus Cutie: Maggie Rodriguez

Year: Junior

Major: Public Relations, with minors in media studies, advertising, and writing

Activities: As far as clubs, I’m a member of the board of the Public Relations Student Society and a part of TEDx promotional team. I work on-campus at the IT Help Desk in the CLC and started a campaign this semester to cut back on student printing. Most importantly, the intramural flag football team I play on (The Gridiron Gang) went undefeated this season and won the championship for the second year in a row! Oh, and recently I started working at the J. Crew Factory store in Rookwood.

Relationship status: In a relationship with Nolan Connair

Favorite sport: I’m from Cleveland, so anytime the Indians, Browns, or Cavs have games I enjoy watching.

Hollywood Crush: I’ve had a major girl crush on Lauren Conrad since middle school and the Laguna Beach days.  Now I follow her on Instagram and everything she does is perfect.

Favorite TV show: Grey’s Anatomy is my go-to Netflix binge show. I could literally watch all day.

What’s your favorite thing about Xavier?

I love all the opportunities I’ve been given through Xavier.  This past summer I interned at an urban farm that my professor told me about and this spring I’m going on an Alternative Breaks trip to California.  These unique experiences definitely make Xavier special.

What quote best describes you?

“All the flowers of tomorrow are in the seeds of today.” 

If you could be any superhero, who would it be and why?

I love Batman, but only the Christian Bale version.  He doesn’t really have powers, he’s just rich with tons of cool gadgets.  Plus he’s a badass. (Am I allowed to say that?) So I guess I’d like to be Batman haha.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

The outdoor terrace on the third floor of Smith.  You get a great view of campus and those incredible Cincinnati sunsets.

How did you react to being nominated as a HC Campus Cutie?

I was so surprised! I creeped on the past Cuties’ articles and was honored to be added to the list.
