Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. I love the food, the holiday traditions and getting to spend time with my family. It’s just such a great time to think about and reflect on the past year. And like the holiday says give thanks for all the things you have going in your life. Here are five things I am personally thankful for this year!

1.     My Family

Most of the things on this list are very cliché, but that’s ok they still hold true. Like most girls, I think my family is the bee’s knees. They are funny, caring, loving and supportive, while at the same time being totally nuts and overbearing. But hey, who would want anything else!

2.     My Friends

Friends are the family that you get to choose. And I am very blessed to have my friends. They celebrate with me when I am I at my best, help me when I am at my worst and deal with me when I’m at every other varying degree of emotional craziness possible.

3.     My Opportunity to get a College Education

I am very thankful that I get to go to college, receive a higher education and give me a chance for a better future. Education is something most people take for granted, but some people are not fortunate enough to go to college. So I am thankful that I am fortunate.

4.     My Pets

Home is where the dogs are. I have two dogs and they make my world. Dogs are goofy and make for great anecdotes. They are great cuddle buddies and offer the best kind of unconditional love!

5.     My Past Mistakes

Mistakes really suck, but they are a huge part of life. So don’t be so negative, take a mistake and learn from it! And then be thankful of the new insight you have.

Everyone should be able to find at least one thing to be thankful for. I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving and a great break! Enjoy it!
