HC Oregon State: What are you involved with on campus?
Geoff: I am involved with numerous ensembles on campus including concert bands, chamber ensembles and Marching Band. I play trumpet at most athletic events and I conduct the Marching Band at football games. I also sit on the Student Performing Arts Advisory Board where we work closely with Student Incidental Fees Committee. I am currently the President of the Theta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, the National Honorary Band Fraternity.
Aaron:Â This is my 5th year as a Cadet in AFROTC Detachment 685, my 4th-year as a Drum Major for the OSU Marching Band, and my 5th year playing drumset for volleyball, basketball and gymnastics bands. I also spent two years in the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and participated in the INTO-OSU Conversant Program in the fall of 2011.
Stephen: I am involved with a lot of different music organizations on campus from Marching Band to the Wind Ensemble. I am also involved with SIFC, coordinating student volunteers, and I work as an office assistant in the music department.
HC Oregon State: What do you want to be when you “grow up?”
Geoff: I would love to have my own music program teaching/directing all styles and forms of music.
Aaron: As far as what I do for a living, I want to be a pilot for the rest of my life. There’s nothing I won’t fly, but I aim to take control of aircraft that are fun, impactful, and can be shared with my family and friends. First, I’ll be flying RPA’s (remotely piloted aircraft) for the U.S. Air Force.
Stephen: I want to be a teacher, specifically in music but a teacher first. I want to help students become involved citizens, and caring and thoughtful adults. For me music is a strength and a way I feel comfortable working with students to help them grow and learn.
HC Oregon State: What’s your favorite season?
Geoff: I love that time of the year when ear warmers and beanies come out! Then again, I also love lounging around in the sun! I don’t care much for the other 10 months of the year.
Aaron: Without a doubt, my favorite season is summer. I enjoy warmer weather and the outdoor activities possible with summer weather.
Stephen: Fall. I absolutely love fall colors and the changing of the leaves. Fall also means the best holidays are coming. Football season is I guess a bonus too.
HC Oregon State: T-shirts or bro tanks?
Geoff: T-shirts… Actually, button up long sleeves rolled up to my elbow.
Aaron: I like T-shirts, “Urban Pipeline”… Found at Kohl’s.
Stephen: V-necks.
HC Oregon State: If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?
Geoff: Skiing down a mountain or lounging in the sun in Mexico
Aaron: Disneyland vacation with my family!
Stephen: If I could be anywhere in the world right now, I would for sure be in my house where it is warm, drinking hot cocoa and watching Netflix.
HC Oregon State: What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Geoff: Own a bar!
Aaron: Can’t wait to jump out of an airplane.
Stephen: I really want to move somewhere new and go somewhere I have never been. Something longer than a vacation, but shorter than a lifetime. The only requirement, there must be an amazing theme park or awesome wildlife near by.
HC Oregon State: Cats or Dogs?
Geoff: Dogs all the way! Is that even a question?
Aaron: Definitely dogs. Pugs, boxers, and labradors.
Stephen: Yes. Or an especially social cat.Â
Even though all of this week’s Campus Cuties are taken, they still have a special place in our hearts! Show them some love and check back next week for the final Campus Cutie of the term!
