‘Twas the month of Christmas and all through campus everyone was gearing up for finals and packing their bags for vacation. When you find yourself bored at home with nothing to do, HC Drexel has ranked our favorite holiday movies to keep you occupied and full of holiday cheer. With Christmas just around the corner and ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas lining up the classics, we have decided to give you our top ten holiday movie picks. Prepare yourself for the nostalgia that comes along with these ten amazing movies.

10. The Muppets’ Christmas Carol

Starting the roundup is the Muppets’ twist on the Charles Dickens’ classic: A Christmas Carol.

9. A Charlie Brown Christmas

What’s cuter than A Charlie Brown Christmas? Roast some chestnuts and watch some timeless Peanuts!

8. Frosty The Snowman

He was indeed a happy, jolly soul! Celebrate with this heartwarming snowman, there’s no better way to kickoff the holiday season.

7. Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer & the Island of Misfit Toys

What’s better than Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer? Well only when the little reindeer is accompanied by adorable misfit toys, of course!

6. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmas

If you’re feeling goofy, tune into Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas and watch the whole gang’s silly antics!

5. The Santa Clause

You might fall off the roof watching this one! Imagine how awesome it would be if your dad became Santa Clause and took you around the world in a night on his sleigh!

4.  Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Jim Carrey does it best while embodying the role of the Grinch in the film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas. And boy is his acting FABULOUS!

3.  The Polar Express

This animated movie stole hearts and urged us to believe not only in the spirit of the holidays, but also in ourselves. ALL ABOARD!

2. Home Alone

We can’t forget about the epic adventures of Kevin McCallister when he’s left to fend for himself while his family is in Paris. His bratty ways sure came in handy to ward off the bad guys who tried to rob his home!

1. Elf

Don’t lie, you know almost every line from this movie! And you perform them just as well as Will Ferrell does in everyone’s favorite holiday movie, Elf!
