I joined Tinder this past summer, a little later in the game than others, because my friend and I thought it would be funny. Talk to a couple of guys, laugh at the weird ones, then delete the app the next day because we would never actually meet up with any of the guys. No harm done, right? However, it’s six months later, and the app still sits in my “social” folder on my phone. I don’t use it, but I just couldn’t bring myself to delete it. It’s like getting rid of endless possibilities.
Through my time as a Tinder user, I have concluded one thing. Most guys can be categorized into one of these five categories and these categories are the ones you want to avoid.
1. The Workout Guy
How to identify: His profile picture will most likely be a gym selfie or a mirror selfie with a flexed bicep.
2. Guy with Dog
How to identify: His profile picture will be of him with his dog. Beware, he knows the powers of his dog on girls and he’s not afraid to use them.
3. The Girl’s Guy
How to identify: His profile picture (and probably all his other pictures too) will be of him with a group of girls. This is just confusing.
4. The Outdoorsy Guy
How to identify: Actions shots or pictures of him in nature. Often times the pictures will be candid or a solo shot of him with some sort of picturesque environment behind him.
5. The Guy that is just way too old to be on Tinder
How to identify: 30 or older. Sorry dude, try match.com and stop creeping on younger girls.
Now that you know what to watch out for, get swiping.
