The winter and its powerful winds make your entire body feel and look dry. It’s important to moisturize in these months, and to drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated. So how do you know if you’re drinking enough water?

According to the Mayo Clinic, adults are supposed to consume between two and three liters of fluid a day. Drinking the proper amount of water gives you extra energy and helps ward off water weight.

So what can you do to stay hydrated? Carry a water bottle around with you to class, your friend’s room, or at work. Having a water bottle as your constant companion makes drinking eight glasses of water a day a thoughtless process.

Another good way to stay hydrated is to drink throughout the day, especially when you wake up the morning. Overnight your body uses the fluids it has already taken in, but you wake up dehydrated.

Don’t forget, that for every “adult beverage” you drink, you’re supposed to drink one glass of water.

Stay hydrated, BU!
